Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Clear and pale in the glass, with a subtle green tinge. Aromas of cucumber, guava, fresh-cut grass, almond, and lime. Dry and tangy on the palate, with lemon, grapefruit, and nectarine; honey and ginger linger in the finish.
Vineyard Notes
Estate vines planted in 2010; Willakenzie soils, 767.42 ft. elevation
Winemaker Notes
The fruit was hand-harvested, sorted, whole-cluster pressed and the juice settled overnight. The juice was then racked and fermented cool in a stainless steel tank. After fermentation was complete, the wine was racked and aged on the fine lees until the following spring. The wine was lightly fined with bentonite and sterile filtered at bottling.
Food Pairing Notes
Serve chilled with blue cheese, lobster, pork, seared scallops, sushi, or Thai. Especially good with hard to pair bitter vegetables, like asparagus or artichokes.
