Kramer Vineyards

2021 Pinot Noir Estate

2021 Pinot Noir Estate

The 2021 Pinot Noir Estate is a limited-production treasure, showcasing the distinct character of Kramer Vineyards’ sustainably farmed estate in Oregon’s renowned Yamhill-Carlton AVA. With only 250 cases produced, this vintage offers a rare opportunity to experience the essence of our vineyard, crafted from vines planted between 1985 and 1988.

On the nose, inviting aromas of cherry, raspberry, blueberry, and rose petals blend seamlessly with hints of cola and earth. The palate delivers a harmonious medley of ripe strawberry, cherry, and cola, enhanced by bright acidity and a smooth texture. A lingering finish leaves an elegant impression, making this Pinot Noir an unforgettable experience.

Sourced from a 2.5-acre parcel of own-rooted Pommard, Wädenswil, and Gamay Beaujolais Upright Pinot Noir clones, this wine reflects the unique characteristics of our 725-foot elevation and Peavine soils. Hand-harvested and meticulously sorted, the grapes underwent fermentation in small 1-ton fermenters, followed by aging in 20% new French oak barrels for 10 months. The result is a Pinot Noir that embodies our vineyard’s legacy and craftsmanship.

Pair this versatile Pinot Noir with roasted or grilled chicken, duck, rack of lamb, mushroom risotto, or grilled salmon. Its bright acidity and elegant profile make it a perfect companion for soft cheeses like Brie or Camembert. Serve slightly chilled at 55–60°F for optimal enjoyment.

Discover the artistry and heritage of Kramer Vineyards in every bottle of our 2021 Pinot Noir Estate. Secure yours today and savor a wine that celebrates the essence of Oregon’s terroir.

Winemaker Notes
The grapes were harvested by hand, sorted in the field, and again on the crush pad. The clusters were layered into 1-ton fermenters. The bins were pumped over under the cap once daily during the five-day cold soak. Once fermentation began, the bins were pumped over and punched down twice daily until dry and then pressed. The wine settled overnight and was racked to 20% new French oak barrels to age for ten months, undergoing full malolactic fermentation.
Food Pairing Notes
Pair this Pinot Noir with soft cheeses such as Brie or Camembert, roasted or grilled chicken, roasted duck or game birds, rack of lamb, mushroom dishes, ratatouille, roasted vegetables, grilled or roasted pork tenderloin, pan-roasted or grilled salmon, or grilled tuna for a truly memorable meal.
