2017 Pinot Noir 667
The 2017 Pinot Noir 667 is a vibrant and elegant expression of Oregon’s Yamhill-Carlton AVA. Sourced from the renowned Yamhill Vineyards, this limited-production Pinot Noir (only 75 cases produced) captures the essence of the vineyard’s unique terroir, offering a wine that is both approachable and complex.
Pouring a pale garnet hue, this Pinot Noir opens with enticing aromas of candied cherry, raspberry, and a touch of allspice. On the palate, juicy flavors of strawberries, raspberries, and a hint of molasses are complemented by delicate notes of clove and earthy undertones. Light-bodied with lithe, silky tannins, this wine is beautifully balanced with bright acidity, leading to a smooth and refreshing finish.
Crafted with meticulous care, the grapes were hand-harvested and sorted before undergoing whole-cluster fermentation in a 1.5-ton vat. The wine fermented slowly, taking 31 days from harvest to pressing, and was then aged in neutral French oak barrels for added complexity. In spring, it was racked, blended, and returned to the barrel for additional aging before bottling.
The 2017 Pinot Noir 667 is a versatile wine perfect for warm weather and casual gatherings. Pair it with roasted chicken, grilled salmon, or summer vegetable dishes. Its light body and bright acidity also make it an ideal companion for charcuterie or soft cheeses. For the best experience, serve slightly chilled at 55–60°F.
