Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Deep ruby in the glass, with aromas of dark cherries and earth. On the palate, this medium-bodied wine has youthful tannins and typically balanced acidity. This is a nice contrast to the ripe berry fruits on the palate, with undertones of mushroom, forest floor, and pickling spices.
Vineyard Notes
100% Pommard clone Pinot Noir sourced from Yamhill Vineyards
Winemaker Notes
The grapes were harvested by hand, sorted, and destemmed. Fermentation began after five days. The vats were pumped over and punched down twice daily, and pressed at dryness. The wine settled overnight, and was racked to neutral French oak barrels to age until bottling.
