2015 Pinot Noir – Pommard Clone

2015 Pinot Noir – Pommard Clone
Crafted from old-vine Pommard

This single-clone Pinot Noir was crafted from our original Pommard vines, planted in 1984. With just 75 cases produced, it's a small-lot expression of one of the Willamette Valley’s most beloved clones. Fermented with 25% whole clusters and aged for 18 months in neutral French oak, the 2015 vintage shows a vibrant, youthful color and a fragrant nose of dried cranberries, pickling spice, and raspberry. On the palate, it’s bright, structured, and layered with spice, fruit, and fine tannins that promise graceful aging for years to come. A must-have for Pinot lovers and collectors alike.

Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Fragrant notes of cranberry, raspberry, and baking spice with hints of dried herbs and black pepper. Bright and balanced on the palate with integrated tannins and a long, spice-laced finish.
Vineyard Notes
ESourced from our original estate vines, planted in 1984 at 724 ft elevation. These dry-farmed blocks sit on Peavine and Willakenzie soils and continue to offer depth, structure, and site expression after four decades in the ground.
Winemaker Notes
Hand-harvested and 75% destemmed. After a 5-day cold soak, the must underwent twice-daily punch-downs and pump-overs until dry. Aged for 18 months in neutral French oak and bottled unfined and unfiltered.

Other Notes
This wine reflects our long-running exploration of Pinot Noir clones and the character of our oldest vines. Now in its ideal drinking window, with aging potential through 2030.
